What to Expect at Your First Physiotherapy Appointment

Your physiotherapist will take time to understand your health, daily activities, current challenges and the goals that matter to you. Depending on your needs, the appointment may include an assessment of your movement, strength, balance, mobility, transfers, pain or physical endurance.

We will then discuss our recommendations with you and develop a personalised plan. This may include regular physiotherapy, a home exercise program, hydrotherapy, equipment recommendations or collaboration with your family, support workers and other health professionals.
